It all started with Chick-fil-A Store #0449 operators Jason and Sarah Walker and store manager Daniel Meys wanting to recognize and thank their team.
Meys thought that oil changes would be a nice gift, and that he might be able to partner with a local vendor so that team members could take in their vehicles to receive a free oil change, courtesy of Lakewood Chick-fil-A.
But when he typed in a search for oil changes in Jacksonville, he found something even better.
Last week, GoMobileX kicked off its partnership with Lakewood Chick-fil-A. From 9 am to 3 pm, GoMobileX technicians were on location at Lakewood Chick-fil-A, providing oil changes to team members free of charge, courtesy of Jason and Sarah Walker.
“It just makes so much sense, from a time and convenience perspective,” said Meys. “The time our team members will be able to spend doing anything but getting an oil change makes it that much more appealing.”
In fact, Meys has asked GoMobileX to return to Lakewood Chick-fil-A once a month to provide employees with free oil changes.
Kip Wellman, one of the co-founders of GoMobileX, was ecstatic when discussing Tuesday’s effort.
“We couldn’t be happier to be involved with Jason, Sarah, Dan and the team at Lakewood Chick-fil-A,” Wellman said.
“I’ve always admired Chick-fil-A’s values and its commitment to give back to the communities it serves. We’re honored to be involved with them in any way, and I’m grateful to them for bringing us on board.”
GoMobileX co-founder Reagan Combs concurred. “In building GoMobileX, we have always pointed to Chick-fil-A as a company to emulate,” Combs said. “It’s an honor to work with them.”
Customers in the drive-thru at Lakewood Chick-fil-A who scanned the QR code received $5 off their next GoMobileX service appointment. (That code will remain valid through February 2022.)
Be on the lookout when the GoMobileX vans return to Lakewood Chick-fil-A at 3814 University Blvd W in the first week in March.
